This has such a beautiful design and the 3D type of folder means it is very clear and detailed.
I put green metallic pigment ink on it before embossing and it came out looking like an antique design -- so wonderful!
I highly recommend this folder. You can use it in so many ways to enhance or be the focus of your cards!

Nice deep embossed image, great for backgrounds on cards.
I love this. The embossing is very clear and clean and it makes a gorgeous background. I don't want to put very much on it though because this is the main interest. Lovely!

Yes, like any other embossing folder. Just follow the directions that comes with the Empress and don't over-shim with this machine. It works for die cutting and embossing much smoother than others without any forcing. Sandwich glides through painlessly , almost silent and you don't think it's going to produce expected results, but it does every time for me.

I�m having some trouble getting this embossing folder through my machine, the Gemini original . Can you tell me if there is some specific plate sandwich I need to use? Otherwise is there another machine that is needed?

I had the Gemini Jr for a year and was always fussing with it trying to get the right sandwich. I had to start with the least amount of shims for pressure, increasing with one more piece of cardstock or thicker paperweight or likewise decreasing shims I started with. More times than I can count it would start and then stop in the middle of the cut or emboss. Finally, the machine broke inside. The grabber was attached by a piece of plastic apparently. The small broken piece fell out of the machine It was not repairable from my research. I bought a new die cutter, the Empress, on sale through HSN. What an improvement! I have not had to alter any sandwich deviation from the 2 cutting plates, the magnetic shim and sometimes the metal shim, that comes with the product for all my sizes and types of different dies and folders. I send the same sandwich thru the feeder. Ba-ba-boom, it works every time.

From what we've researched you can try the following sandwich; Cutting plate, magnetic shim, 3D folder with paper, then the thinner plastic shim. Hope this helps!
