Give your next mixed media project or card an elegant textured background with the Botanical 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder. There is one large embossing folder featuring a large botanical pattern that measures 4.5" x 6.5" x .25". The embossing folder is from the Alterations Collection by Tim Holtz for Sizzix and can be used with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines sold separately. Use the folder with a single Cutting Pad and the machine's included Platform also sold separately. Use with vellum, metallic foil, cardstock or paper.

      Yes, like any other embossing folder. Just follow the directions that comes with the Empress and don't over-shim with this machine. It works for die cutting and embossing much smoother than others without any forcing. Sandwich glides through painlessly , almost silent and you don't think it's going to produce expected results, but it does every time for me.     I�m having some trouble getting this embossing folder through my machine, the Gemini original . Can you tell me if there is some specific plate sandwich I need to use?       I had the Gemini Jr for a year and was always fussing with it trying to get the right sandwich. I had to start with the least amount of shims for pressure, increasing with one more piece of cardstock or thicker paperweight or likewise decreasing shims I started with. More times than I can count it would start and then stop in the middle of the cut or emboss. Finally, the machine broke inside. The grabber was attached by a piece of plastic apparently. The small broken piece fell out of the machine It was not repairable from my research. I bought a new die cutter, the Empress, on sale through HSN. What an improvement! I have not had to alter any sandwich deviation from the 2 cutting plates, the magnetic shim and sometimes the metal shim, that comes with the product for all my sizes and types of different dies and folders.       From what we've researched you can try the following sandwich; Cutting plate, magnetic shim, 3D folder with paper, then the thinner plastic shim. Hope this helps!
