Your crafts will come alive when accented with the Laboratory Thinlits Dies from the Alterations Collection by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. Included in the package are 28 wafer thin, chemically etched metal dies that measure 1.375" x 1.75" to .125" x .125". The dies are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines (use with a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform and when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required) and are designed to cut through a single sheet of cardstock, vellum, metallic foil or paper (all items sold separately).
I really love the Laboratory Thinlit dies. I can use them all through the year.
Just a few examples are: For Get Well cards (Medication bottles), to Valentine's Day (Love potions), to feminine Birthday Card (perfume bottles) to a masculine Birthday Cards (Beer or Wine bottles), not to mention, Halloween and Yule.
I've run a few through my BigKick to test them out and to see how they all look together, plus I wanted to have a few premade bottles ready for a sudden inspiration. I use the Precision chrome cutting pad with a regular cutting pad and the magnetic platform.
First thing I do when getting these dies is to dump them out on my work table and put them together onto a cut piece of magnet sheet that will fit inside of the Sizzix plastic envelope.
When I did this set, I I found that I am missing 1 die. There were supposed to be 28 dies, and I only have 27. It seems that I am missing the die that has the larger corks.
So, make sure you count your dies or you'll be in a shock when you are trying to build the shelf of bottles.
I love Tim Holtz's products that he designs for several companies; along with stamps, inks, embellishments, cardstock, etc. I love making the Halloween Potion Bottles for making tags and cards that I send to everyone that I know. This Halloween set of Dies from Sizzix by Tim Holtz are smaller sizes, also labels, bubbles and a couple that depict the contents level (plain cut) on a couple of the bottles. There is also the Shelf! This photo shows 2 shelves, you would have to die-cut 2 of them to copy the photo.
OMG! This is the cutest set ever!! Love the variety and the potential of using one or all bottles. Will be a fabulous addition to my Halloween projects. So glad I made the purchase.
Do not let the name of this die set fool you! Yes, they can be used for apothecary bottles but how about perfume bottles or liquor bottles? That's why I love Tim Holtz designs! Add Scrapbook. com's availability, prices and prompt delivery, well-what more can you want!
Finally able to solve mystery shelve to a Tim Holtz design card using St Nick die cut also. Now l can make a few and enjoy the fact l have every piece of the puzzle now

Nice variety, was a puzzle to match up "liquid level" die with proper bottle die. Cut well.

These seem small enough; why are they not compatible with the Sidekick? Or are they and it's just not listed?

Due to their size, you should be able to use them in the Sidekick machine. Hope this helps!
