Send well wishes this holiday season with an eye-catching Christmas card using the Door Fold-a-Long Card Thinlits Die set by Sizzix! The package includes 12 thin metal dies measuring .15" x .15" to 5.15" x 5.375". The set is compatible with the BIGkick, Vagabond and Big Shot machines when used with a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform (all items sold separately). I ordered this die with the idea that I would use it for making Christmas cards. I was surprised that it didn't have any instructions with it but I tried to make it anyway. I wasn't happy with the result or the time it took me! I asked for help and was sent a link to a You tube video that showed how to cut a different fold a long card. It was just what I needed to see!
I found this die very difficult to use, even after watching the YouTube video. One side of the card folds in as you would expect, with the impressions for the door knob and window insets on the paper facing you. The other side folds, difficultly, and the impressions for the door knobs and window insets are not on the paper facing you. I made this card one time, just to say that I could. I probably will not use the die again.
Please check when I ordered the item. I just received the item this week. It took weeks and weeks .
