Add whimsical design to your projects with the Tattered Butterfly Bigz Die designed by Tim Holtz for the Alterations Collection by Sizzix. Included in the package is one Bigz steel rule die that has a design measurement of 3" x 2" to 4" x 2.675". The die will cut through materials such as leather, fabric, foam, chipboard, cardstock, magnet and more.
This is a most have die, for me. I love to add butterflies to my projects. I wanted them to be big enough to really see the details. It's even better than I could imagine. I've already made a lot and I'm building up a supply. They look amazing done with mixed media papers. Thank you
Reasonably priced for an intricate, beautiful steel rule die!
I only gave 4 stars because I didn't see clearly enough that this was a different kind of die. It still works but the large block is a little more awkward and harder to use than the thin dies.
Once again, I missed that this is a Bigz Die, so it will have to go back and I'm disappointed in my oversight because I don't have anything that will cut this thick sort of die. :( I wish Scrapbook.com would show the thickness of the die box, which would make it easier for us old timers to be able to see it, but it's my bad. Tim Holtz has some good products and I've got a few that are slim-cut that will cut with the die cutting machine I do have.
Love this die, makes great grunge look Butterflies. Cuts beautifully. Love it.

Hello, One person, jociejubug, said she could use this die, but since it was thick, it wasn't as easy. I have a Cuttlebug. Can I use this die with it and just skip the usual stack to cut with it?

These dies are steel rule dies and are typically used in the Big Shot with only cutting plates. We are not certain what sandwich would be needed in the Cuttlebug as we do not carry it.

does this come with an embossing folder? I saw a video from CHA 2015 that showed him using one with it.
