You'll love the unique design of the Geo Insects Thinlits Die set from the Alterations Collection by Tim Holtz for Sizzix! The package includes 4 thin metal dies that measure 3.15" x 1.675" to 3.675" x 3.25". The dies are designed to work with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines. The set requires the use of a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required. I cut a bunch of these out as soon as they arrived. They cut out and released just fine, and they are GORGEOUS! The only thing is, I've had them now for at least a year, and I still haven't used them. I've tried to use them, but with their intricate designs, it's hard to apply adhesive. It's impossible to put foam adhesive on the back for a 3D effect because their aren't any areas thick enough to put them-even if you cut the pads. Glue dries up before I can finish applying it to all those tiny places. I even cut them out with double sided adhesive on the back of the paper, but the weeding was difficult. And Zyron leaves all that sticky webbing all over the place and makes a huge mess. If anyone has ideas, please let me know. I'm open to all suggestions.
These are gorgeous. Great with vellum inlay for the wing detail.
