Deck the Halls this Christmas with the Colorize Thinlits Die Set designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. These thin metal dies are great for an intricate paper-layering project that allows you to create more dimensional and professional designs than ever before. Included are 10 dies that measure 3" x 2 5/8" - 1/8" x 1/8". These wafer-thin chemically-etched die sets are designed to cut, emboss or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic, or vellum and are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines (sold separately).
When I first saw this product I was 'meh'. It seemed pretty ordinary, partly because I didn't like the colours used on the packaging and in demos I think. then I saw elements being used in other demos, like for New Years and birthday celebrations. I decided I need it.
I'm still pretty unimpressed with the holly and not wildly enthusiastic about the bow, although it might grow on me. I currently have a large glitter background bow cut out in my file that might become a card topper.
But I love the streamers, so easy to use and so versatile, even if it does require running them through several times to cut enough to be useful.
I want to know why this die set seems to cut through glitter card stock so well while the layered Christmas ornaments were a bit of a disaster.
