Tips From The Manufacturer:
Nice features on this score board/ trimmer tool, but the first time I cut cardstock it left a ragged edge. The blade was not sharp enough. I ran the blade over some aluminum foil and it was better after that. I would expect the cutting blade to be sharp right out of the box! I also wish the markings for the scoreboard were dark so you could see them better. Other features were good.
Like the board with all options in using it so you don't need a tool for each individually. The only draw back is you can't see the small white numbers on the board for scoring or the markings for cutting between the 1/4" to 3". Don't know what they were thinking with using white on white. Need to rethink the printing so people can see it.
This all-in-one tools makes a good addition to your crafting area. Instead of having two larger tools on hand when crafting, this one can be used in their place. It is handy to use when working with one piece of stock. I do like the corner & envelope punch features as well and it does not slide aound. Keep in mind that this will not replace trimmers & scoreboards that have the capability to handle bulk stock at once, but it does free up space on your work area.
For the price and the word, quality that has been used several times in the presentation. That’s what I expected. I haven’t used it much because the blade that it came with is dull. That’s what I’m hoping the problem is. I just paid 0ver $15 for new blades since it has never cut right in the times that I practiced with it. I’m also not used to having the blade on the side. All my other tools, it’s in the middle where it belongs, to give proper manual guidance for crisp clean cuts. I will definitely type and print out measurements to tape to the side and bottom for easier eyeballing. Or use a fine tip sharpie to draw in? Anyway, hoping the new blades are a game changer, but should have to buy them with a brand new item.
This tool is absolutely amazing! I love that you can flip the mint ruler and the scoring board portion over to get inches or centimeters. The blade is easy to change and the glide bar for the trimmer is so smooth! The mint ruler swings out at an angle, letting you trim or score at an angle to create custom cards, envelopes tags, banners, boxes and more! The punches are super handy and love that the fold and form tool is tucked neatly inside the board. No matter what you love to make, this is definitely one tool that every paper crater needs!

I think the idea of this is great but a little disappointed in some parts of it. I think there is to much play in the ruler, Not thrilled with the way the scoring board is set up with ruler on the side (copy paper slips under the ruler). Also it is hard to read the markings. I did mark mine with a Sharpy fine point pen which has helped. I also can't find a place to put an app on my phone for the envelope generator. I don't know if that means you have to scan the QR code each time which is not very convenient.
This is heavy and not one you want to carry to class, but it is very easy to read and get accurate cuts. I watched videos before I bought it. One reviewer evidently hadn't watched the video and complained about the ruler moving. She didn't have it in the right spot at the top. When it's set up correctly for each job, it's wonderful. When I first Saw the first videos, I was sure the price would be around $100..00 based on an all in one tool I bought just before the pandemic when I was very new to paper crafting . I gave it away and it came back to me after a few months. I gave it away again and this time it's stayed in it's new home. I am pleasantly surprised at the price, the quality and the functionality of this gem.
I was excited to receive my Making Tool, but so far I’ve been disappointed. The trimmer blade tends to tear my paper or cardstock, rather than cut neatly. The scorer is too ‘sharp’ and cuts my paper instead of scoring. I had to use another scoring tool. Moving the ruler from trimming to scoring position is hard, but perhaps that will get easier with time.
I do like the built in punches and how easy it is to line up for accurate punching for notches and corners.
I’ll have to watch the video again for instructions on making an envelope, because following the booklet is not working for me!
I’ll persevere and hopefully it will get better.
Love, Love, Love !!!! I had an old board and didn’t realize how much I needed an upgrade. First time I used this board it was fantastic.
While this is a quality product, it isn't filling my needs. It is probably more effective stationary. It does have weight to it. The top ruler seems loose and I have to keep putting back across the top. The vertical ruler on the far right is very faint and almost not readable. I haven't used the trimmer yet, as I purchased this for smaller projects. I am hoping the more I use it, I will like it. The grooves make it difficult to use on cardstock. I am going back to my cheaper scoring board for use on cardstock. I have tried 4 separate scoring tools and I can't seem to find one that really fits the grooves, including the tool attached.
