I saw the video on this project and got REALLY excited and ordered it. It works as advertised. There were a couple of operator errors, but once I figured out where the measurements were for scoring I went to town. :) Overall I am very glad I bought it
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the blade got dull very quickly. After a short time using it I noticed that the blade was not cutting cleanly. I switched to the spare that came with the unit. It is working better and am watching it closely. I am hoping that the original blade was an exception.
Like the board with all options in using it so you don't need a tool for each individually. The only draw back is you can't see the small white numbers on the board for scoring or the markings for cutting between the 1/4" to 3". Don't know what they were thinking with using white on white. Need to rethink the printing so people can see it.
Hard to line up paper for cutting, number markings not easy to see, and envelope directions in manual are hard to follow. I’ve been unable to make an envelope in the size I want. Not returnable per company, as I obviously opened it to use it. It does cut cleanly, and having the scoring available in the same unit is nice. The scoring tool stores very nicely and is readily accessible. Guess I’ll continue to try to finagle an envelope and see if the cutting becomes easier. Sure hope so.
This all-in-one tools makes a good addition to your crafting area. Instead of having two larger tools on hand when crafting, this one can be used in their place. It is handy to use when working with one piece of stock. I do like the corner & envelope punch features as well and it does not slide aound. Keep in mind that this will not replace trimmers & scoreboards that have the capability to handle bulk stock at once, but it does free up space on your work area.

This tool is absolutely amazing! I love that you can flip the mint ruler and the scoring board portion over to get inches or centimeters. The blade is easy to change and the glide bar for the trimmer is so smooth! The mint ruler swings out at an angle, letting you trim or score at an angle to create custom cards, envelopes tags, banners, boxes and more! The punches are super handy and love that the fold and form tool is tucked neatly inside the board. No matter what you love to make, this is definitely one tool that every paper crater needs!

I’m relatively new to crafting. The sizzix scoring board and trimmer is great! So easy to use. I watched the YouTube which was very informative…highly recommend!
I LOVE IT. I have a small craft room and this works great.
Right out of the box, this cut terribly. I thought maybe I gota not-well-sharpened blade, so I change it. Same thing: it leaves a rough, sort of bent edge on the cut paper. The scoreboard has no ledge to butt the paper/cardstock up against, so there's nothing but your hand to keep the paper steady as you're scoring it. The punches I had to put a LOT of weight behind to get them to punch. The concept of this tool is fantastic, but the reality was a HUGE disappointment to me. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Scrapbook.com has graciously allowed me to return it (fabulous customer service), but of course I do have to pay the return shipping costs. It is my opinion that Sizzix needs to take this off the market until they can perfect it.

How did Pete know where 9cm was on the board in order to score his 18cm price of paper? The markings seem only to be the side not the top where the grooves are.

The ruler at top can be removed and flipped over to cm sizing markers. Go to scrapbook.com and type in "how to use the sizzix scoreboard. Will open up , scroll to Sizzix scoreboard and tool, right after Big Shot Machine. Click onto the scoreboard picture....Will bring you to a series of pictures, click on very last one in row 6, this is the tutorial to explain all your questions. Hope this helps you, it clarified everything for me. I printed it out to keep with the machine. Have fun, Connie

On the scoreboard, are there 1/8 and 1/16 of an inch markings?

Hello. The scoreboard has 1/4 inch markings. There is a score line for the eighths but these are not marked.

Hello. The manufacturer has not specified the weight of paper this will cut. It does not cut chipboard well but it does cut heavy cardstock.

The ruler on the cutting arm match up to 3/4" (edge of ruler), tick marks 1/2" (bottom of number) and 1/4" (top of number) - there are marks for 2"-7/8" but they're hard to read.
