This two piece thin metal die set, Snail Mail, is designed by Eileen Hull for Sizzix. This die set features a solid frame and a frame with perforations to make it look like postage stamps that can be used as a single piece or you can use the various pieces. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These chemically etched dies are designed to cut, emboss, or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, vellum, or foil. These dies can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals and planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects. The largest die measures 3.75" x 5" and the smallest die measures 3.5" x 4.75".
For some reason I thought the individual squares would cut out separately. Of course I could still do it with a scissors. I still love this die and will use it for many cards!
I really debated on ordering this die, but all these ideas kept popping in my head & I went with it. I am glad I did as this die will work for Fall, Christmas & everyday! I thought it was pricey for what it is compared to more intricate dies.
I had no problems using it in my old Sizzix!
All those tiny holes to look like perforated postage requires trying different sandwiches in your cutting die machine. I was not able to come up with a sandwich that worked in my Cuttlebug, but the Vagabond machine worked with this die well.
Once you get it cut out, it is very fun to work with for cards or altering books.
