    A Must Have

The cutting pads for the Sizzix Big Shot are a necessary part of equipment to use the machine. The time between replacements really varies. It depends on how much die cutting I do. They usually last between 3 and 6 months, rarely they last a year. It is important to keep turning them, using both sides as they last a lot longer that way.

    this product does work

Sizzix cutting pads do the intended job. I like the new beveled edge that eases the pads under the rollers. On the other hand, these new pads seem to bend easier than the original pads. Is Sizzix using a different material? In any case, keep flipping the pads and moving dies around...the result will be less warping. I like the size of these pads better than the extended cutting pads..easier to move around.

    Needed More of these

I think I like die cutting more than anything so far. Only experimenting with different items but I have basically shredded the plates I originally purchased. I ruined a die because I wasn't paying attention to how used it was...I'm a novice. Still I'm glad I purchased and paying attention. They Work Great! :)

    Long lasting and sturdy

Long lasting and sturdy I have bought this product before from scrapbook.com. They offer a sturdy and long lasting product and I seldom have to replace one or both pieces. I do a lot of stamping and have found that they also offer good prices especially with sales. I will continue having several sets on hand all of the time.

    Mystified

Thats what I am. Why do they make a product that gets messed up just for doing what these do? Why can't they make a method or material that doesn't get all messed up just for using their die cuts? Am I wrong here? There has to be a better way.

    Sizzix cutting pad

This precision engineered acrylic plate is the exact thickness to go thru the Sizzix Big Shot machine. There is a top and a bottom one and the die and the paper are wafered in between. Perfect diminsions everytime.

    Glad o have a spare!

My plates are getting pretty well etched up, which is starting to show through on some of my cardstock. Went ahead and purchased a new set of plates and was surprised at how inexpensive they were! Glad to have some fresh new ones!

    Very pleased

These cutting plates work great! I'm set now as I ordered this set of 2 plates and accidentally ordered 1 set,so now I have 3 sets! Sometimes I wish the people putting your order together and find you adding more of 1 of the same thing would question you as to do you really want 3 sets? Maybe that would bother some people, but I really wouldn't mind because I really don't need 3 sets of plates for Die cutting. Suppose I could send them back, but I don't want to pay for the shipping. My fault, but just saying! 🙄
I will double check My orders closely from now on!

Questions & Answers
  • I am using the Vagabond to emboss cards. After almost 50 cards, the machine stopped embossing the entire card.
One of the plates I've been using in the sandwich has a few cracks in it. I flip the plate every other time I put a sandwich through. The plate seems to he warped all over the place now.
Is the plate the reason why my card is not getting completely embossed?
At what point do you replace the plates? The information above seemed very vague.   By: Lmrocha2010 (31-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • If you have warping this could very well be why embossing or die cutting would be uneven. There is not a specific time frame in which plates will have to be replaced. Basically, when you start running into issues is when you should replace them. Dies will cut into the plates but if you are having actual cracks, it sounds like it would be time to replace them. Hope this helps! By: Scrapbook.com (31-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hi,

I have the flu with complications so I am kind of fuzzy about this and everything right now. Sorry. What I did was call scrapbook.com and asked a lot of questions. The woman who I spoke with was great and guided me through and I got the correct product. They are very accommodating and polite there. Good luck and happy scrapbooking : ). If I felt better I would do more research for you but am feeling crummy. Take care.

Since Cuttlebug discontinued so did its cutting plates, and I need replacements but can't find them anymore. Will these work for Cuttlebug as well? I know someone asked the same question but the answer said they shouldn't be used for Cuttlebug but didn't say whether they "would" work for Cuttlebug... Please help? Thanks so much! :)   By: User (17-Mar-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • I found this answer very helpful from another customer.

These pads are not made for the Cuttlebug so you shouldn't use them. When cutting thinlits on a Cuttlebug, however, I found that it would help them cut if I added a shim to my sandwich. This could be a folded piece of cardstock or a piece of chipboard. You just need something to give the thinlits a little lift to meet the rollers of the machine. I hope this helps! • From what others have said these are the same thickness as the B plates for the Cuttlebug but we have not tested them to see if they will work.

Will these work on an Accuequilt machine?   By: User (05-Oct-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • I don’t for sure but if I had to guess, I would say no. They may look the same but they may a tiny bit to thick or then. Try looking on the package to see if they work in other machines. I would hate to try and then jam up your machine. Another option is to go to the Sizzix web site and email them your question. They have been prompt getting back to me.
