While searching for products for a steampunk challenge, this is one of the first products I thought of to add to G45 Steampunk collection. I think they are perfect for each other! Another review mentioned the size and using on a 12 x 12, they would be better suited for a smaller layout. I am using them on a 9 x 9 page.
I have used these as well as other Tim Holtz gears etc when making cards for the guys in my life. It is hard to find decorative trim suitable for men but these solve the problem. I have several of them
I can think of many journaling techniques to go with these, especially on lo with kids such as, "the wheels were always turning" ( surround the gears with a thought bubble and use a journaling note for the enclosed phase. Have fun! Kathy
These look great in my album I am making for my brother, who is rebuilding an old VW Bus. They are real metal and the only actual gears I could find for scrapbooking. So cool on the page. I used them with the Grease monkey collection papers.
I really love these gears, and by love, I mean LOVE. This is the second pack I've bought and it still doesn't seem like I can get enough of them. They look great on a steampunk LO, or anywhere you need a masculine influence.

I find it very difficult to locate masculine type embellishments for my son's dirt bike racing pages. These are perfect a prefect addition to the dust and mud shown caked to parts of the racing bike in the photos.
I don't even have to see a Tim Holtz product the know I want them..he is a creative wizard!! I bought all his new stuff and have used them up already! These items are wildly popular!!
I am working on the Steampunk mini chipboard albums and these embellishments are required to comple the project. I really like them, because they are the perfect size and color.
We love, love, love Tim Holtz gears and sprockets! Can"t stop thinking of ways to use them. Keep making and selling them, please!
These are going to be awesome little trinkets! I can see using these as a mask or as embellishments. Can't wait to get started!
