    Great mix!

I absolutely love these! The color is perfect for any color scheme and the crystals sparkle beautifully.
Also, there is a mix of different sizes included, so you can add really tiny ones or larger ones, depending on what fits your project best!

Crystal: The Only Color You Need!

I love the Nuvo Pure Sheen Gemstones and wanted all the colors...until I thought about dyeing them to match any card or invitation I created. I know they come in different shapes too...so if you want another shape, this tip isn’t for you. But have you thought of dyeing these? So many ways! I often use Copic markers to color them, but you can use any permanent method that is transparent: alcohol inks, Stazon inks, maybe even Sharpies (not certain they retain the transparency). And if you want it to match the ink you have stamped with, that’s simple too. Just take a small circular stamp...probably overlooked in your stash: the center of a flower, a large “period mark”, etc...and use your chosen ink to stamp a small circle. Then use a glue that dries clear to adhere the gem over the stamped circle. After it dries, viola! You have a perfectly matched gem!

  • Great Gems

Love the sizes of the crystal gems. The sizes are great for my card making. I would of given it 5 stars, but the gems were stuck to the foam seal and they were hard to get off and were not sparkly because of the glue. The sticky part should just be on edges of the foam to just seal the rim on the jar or not have the glue at all.

    Beautiful!

These would’ve gotten 5 stars except for the lid... the top seal is sticky on the inside and catches all the gems at the top... it’s a bit of a job to recover them. Other than that however, these are gorgeous little gems and the multiple sizes in one package is fabulous!

    Tiny

Tiny embellishments. Haven't tried them yet but they look nice!

  • Is there a special tool for picking them up? Hard for old fingers to grab, glue and place them easily.   By: Landjstark (17-Feb-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Tonic does not have a tool for this currently. However, I would suggest you look at a tool that Uchida makes called a "Jewel Picker" By: Tonic Studios (18-Feb-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • They are faceted and with multiple sizes. I love them, very high quality. I have tons of romantic pages to do from my son's wedding and I am looking forward to using these and the rose quartz! I do agree with one reviewer that the sticky pad on the top is just strange.... By: menardkd (13-May-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • How do you attach these?   By: rbraid01 (14-Apr-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • When I'm working with small crystals I like to use liquid glue. I squirt a blob onto my work mat, then use a pin to put just a small amount of glue on the crystal to glue it down.

If I am using them on an Art Journal page, I apply gel medium onto the page then just place down the crystals. By: curias (15-Apr-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
