Can this be used with an embossing heat gun?

This would likely not work because it needs the heat and the pressure of a laminating machine. Hope this helps!

what kind of ink can i use for thermofoil?

Since you don’t ink the foil you can use pretty much anything. It will only adhere to where the laser toner is, not to the ink you use for the rest of the design.
