There are a million and one uses for these handy little Sponge Daubers. You'll never worry again about damaging an ink pad while trying to distress the edges of your cardstock. Give your project edges a unique aged look by seamlessly inking the edges with a touch of your sponged finger. Plus, with these craft daubers, you’ll have complete control of where and how much color is applied for inking edges - as well as for stenciling, shading stamps, creating backgrounds, and so much more!

Without storage, too many sponge daubers can get lost or wasted. Dauber boxes are the most efficient method to store fingertip daubers. The included Sponge Dauber Storage Box is a Scrapbook.com best-seller and is regarded as a must-own scrapbooking product by our customers. This storage box features a hinged lid with fail-safe sliding locks that keep the daubers securely in place, whether it’s safely in a desk drawer or taking a beating tossed in your crop bag. You will love the convenience and organization this dauber kit has to offer!

How to use your Sponge Daubers:

  • Place the Sponge Dauber on your fingertip or grasp it by the plastic barrel.
  • Dab the foam surface of the sponge dauber into a color medium such as ink, paint, or chalk until the desired amount of color is transferred.
  • Dab and blend color onto the surface of a project, edges of paper, or onto a stamp in preparation for stamping.
  • To clean your Sponge Daubers, rinse them with soap and water and set aside to dry.
  • To unlock your storage box, slide both of the black plastic locks outward and lift the lid. Fill it up with all your new and inked sponge daubers.
  • To lock your storage box, close the lid and slide both of the black plastic locks inward to secure the lid for travel and storage!

You will love the versatility and the results you achieve with these helpful little tools. Use your fingertip daubers to get smoother color blending, crisper stenciling, multi-colored stamping, perfectly glued corners that won’t peel up, and more! And the best part is, your fingertips stay clean and ink-free. That means no more accidental smudges or stains on the project you've worked your heart out on! Keeping one Sponge Dauber for each of your ink colors will prevent accidental color contamination –- and save you the hassle of washing daubers between uses!

The Answer to a Persistant Storage Problem!

This is exactly what I needed! I really didn't have an efficient method of storing my fingertip daubers before, and, as a result, I've wasted and/or lost a lot of them. This box puts an end to the waste and gives me the storage solution that I've been looking for. I've already purchased four of these and will buy more in the future as my ink pad and chalk palette collections continue to expand.

Now, instead of having them all over the place in unsightly sandwich bags, all of my sponge daubers are labeled and stored alphabetically and by medium (two boxes for ink and two for chalk). Everything is neat and clean, and the diminutive size of the box makes it very easy to take my daubers with me to crops. And it's impossible for the box to open by accident because there are two snug, fail-safe sliding locks on it!

A great product and an excellent value!

    Break Easily

I ordered three of these...two arrived fine, one was cracked in shipping. I actually ordered one extra just because I had read about this problem on other reviews. I don't really need the third one, and figured I could give it as a gift or use it for portable storage, where it will likely get cracked later, anyway.

Other than being fragile, the box is great for organizing your daubers. It does the job it's intended to do, and it is pretty much exactly as pictured, so that's why I'm giving it 5 stars.

One problem you might have is that the daubers are stored dirty side up, so you might get inky fingers pulling one out if it was used recently. Would have been better if it had a foam insert with holes where the daubers fit in snugly, with the sponge part down, and enough of the "handle" part showing enough to allow for labeling of the color name.

    Sponge Dauber Storage Box

This case exceeded my expectations in quality for the price I paid for it! The acrylic is crystal clear, and thick, not flimsy like other cases I have seen at craft stores.
The back hinges are well constructed, with a metal pin through the center for stability, and the front latches slide easily, but with a snug fit so the lid won't pop open.
The inner dividers are shallow enough to be able to grab the dauber you want easily, and the daubers sit with enough clearance in the case that you could add a piece of paper to the inside lid with a "map" to list which dauber has which color ink on them. (If you do choose to make a color coded list for the lid, I would still recommend adding a piece of window plastic over the list to help keep it clean and ink free)

    Perfect Dauber Storage Box

I started with an Altoid box as a tray and quickly ran out of space. I looked at Containers and all the hobby stores. No products out there were the right fit. I remember seeing this box at a rubber stamp convention and was so glad to find it again and at a great sale price. I was shocked and very pleased to find them on my porch within 2 days of the order! The boxes arrived in excellent condition, the plastic was better quality than expected based on some of the reviews. Locking devices are a great feature and the download chart is very helpful. It's a nice compact size with enough space between each dauber and shallow enough to be able to retrieve the dauber easily. I love love this container and wished I ordered more even though I don't need them yet. Thank you!

    Dauber case

I edge/distress almost everything in my scrapbooks, so I go through a LOT of daubers. These cases are great! I've purchased several for myself and several more as gifts. I am particularly fond of the slide lock, which keeps the top of the case locked in case it gets knocked over - everything stays in place and the colors don't rub into each other. I used a template to stamp the dauber colors on a grid so I can quickly find the color I want. See sample at www.LaurasCropCircles.com (look under My Scrap Room).

    The Best Case Ever!!

I love the sponge dauber storage box. I have one and will be ordering another. I numbered all my ink pads and put the same number on a dauber and numbered each hole in the case. So when I pull my ink pad to use on a project I immediately see the number say 25 and I go to my dauber case and pull the dauber out of hole 25. When I am done, my duaber has number 25 on it and i put it back into the case slot 25. This keeps me from trying to distinquish the color on my dauber and saves me a lot of time. Happy stamping..

    stampincarmen

I have accumulated many sponge daubers over my years of paper crafting. I did not hesitate to purchase the sponge dauber storage box in light of its space saving benefits and the ability for me to see what I have organized inside. The plastic is high quality without being brittle and the locks hold nicely but also maneuver easily when opening the case. I like that I can store and transport my saturated daubers without them touching each other and without them falling out of organization. The storage box fits nicely in my top craft drawer in easy view and takes up minimal 'real-estate' space. I love it!

    Sponge Dauber storage box

I bought a pack of 6 sponge daubers and in no time I had used them with 6 different colors. I could have put them back in the bag they came in I suppose but instead I set them on a shelf by the ink pads and I would knock them off, they would fall down behind the stacks of ink pads and it got very frustrating😜. This storage box is the perfect answer and with 40 daubers, I won't run out of clean ones when I need one for a lighter color. Thank you for making these available to us plus the price is very reasonable as well.

I LOVE this product! Absolutely love. I use my ink pads 900 percent more. I don't really like the Ranger handle thing that Tim Holtz has, but these little daubers are perfect. And how do you keep them? If you've a lot of inks it's hard to keep organized, but not with this box! I took my Memento Dew Drops, each comes with a tiny label, and I placed the label on the bottom of the box so I always know what color goes with which dauber.

DEFINITELY GET THIS IF YOU'RE AN INKER/STAMPER!

    Daubers Galore!

This was a great purchase. The daubers are not small but not large either. They really are the perfect size for my taste and talents. They get into tight corners without worry of smearing that corner. The box it comes in is great. It keeps the daubers separated from each other. It is easy to pick up your dauber and place it in the box as well. The box has a latch which is strong and should you knock it off of your table they will not spill onto the floor. Going to order another box for my glitter paints and chalks.

Are the sponges on the daubers replaceable?   By: User (30-Nov-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • No, the sponges are not replaceable. However, you can usually wash them in order to use a new color. They last quite awhile. Eventually the paper-cuts and friction will start to shred the sponge part, but that is to be expected. By: Purrmaid (01-Dec-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Has anyone ever used the container and put the daubers in with the sponge side down, so that you can just put your finger in the hole right away or at least not get your fingers all inky? • Hi, I'm not sure why I received this email but I really don't know how long this item will be on back order. I want to order a couple more for myself. They are great boxes for the small daubers. I'm guessing the product may be on back order the California shipping dock workers are on strike. It's been a problem for Stampin' Up! and I'm sure it's affecting other businesses as well. I hope these guys settle soon so things can get back to normal, well, as normal as possible. Good luck to you stampmagic1. I hope this storage case come in soon. You will be very happy with it when you get it. Take care and have a good day.
