This colour is extremely pale and not nearly as saturated as I expected from the pictures of the product.
Getting the ink to transfer to the paper from my stamps was difficult and led to splotchy images with gaps and unfinished edges. It was slightly better on a darker background, but the images still looked like there wasn't enough ink used, even when it was applied liberally. My stamps did clean off easily though.
While I enjoy this brand of ink overall, I don't recommend this colour.
It is sad to leave a negative review on this Umbrella Robin's Egg Blue ink pad. I tested this ink with both photopolymer and red rubber stamps and on a variety of papers and cardstocks. The ink pad is juicy, so no shortage of moisture. However, the color stamps very, very pale; barely visible. Additionally, the stamped images were very splotchy and the stamped ink did not smooth out over time. The stamped color is nowhere near the richness displayed in pictured swatch.
I purchased several of the Umbrella Crafts, Premium Dye Ink Kit - Trio.
They all worked great except this one - Robin Egg Blue. I did contact Scrapbook.com and they did send me a new one but it doesn't work any better then the first one did. I'm going to order an ink refill in the Robin Egg Blue and see if that helps.
These stamp pads are fabulous! Wonderful palette of harmonious colors, made with the ever lasting LINEN inking pad surface, rich impressions, very true to the color advertised. I cannot say enough about these ink pads!
Note: I have used a "specific brand" for over 20 years. I was a TRUE junkie of this "brand". Nobody could have told me there was anything better. My finances and this "brand" were not seeing eye to eye anymore, so I tried Umbrella Ink. I was so excited and pleased once I got some of these ink pads in my hands to use, I sold ALL of my other "brand" ink pads, refills and markers! Try one of these pads and you will be convinced too!
Great products from umbrella crafts. Their inks are beautiful and they're reasonably priced
