    Thermal cinch

This machine couldn’t even bind a golden book with scrapbook paper sheets placed in between to add photos to. It only bonded the middle of the book as the binding strips have one strip of glue. I even tried to rebind it a second time with no success. When contacting Scrapbook after watching videos, u tube videos and knowing I did all things right, I got nothing but the run around. This product is useless to me as it didn’t work as advertised It was like using a cheap easy bake oven with poor results

  • Cool binding tool

Bought this binding machine for my sister's birthday. She absolutely loves it as she can make any size note pad wanted. I'm not allowed to touch the binding machine at all. LOL. Mint green is one of her favorite colors. When I bought the machine, the needed adhesive strips and some of the other goodies were out of stock. As my sister immediately used up the adhesive strips included with the binder, when the strips are available my sister buys them. It's nice to see some of the other cool accessories for this binding machine that are available. My sister definitely would recommend this binding machine.

Can you make notebooks larger than 1/4 inch (25 sheets of cardstock or 50 sheets of copy paper) or is 1/4 inch thick the limit?   By: User (26-Jan-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello, the machine can accommodate books thicker than 1/4" because you have the option to bind multiple books at once. The machine accommodates A4 Size. As long as it can fit the opening and be pushed in far enough to sit on the hot bar you should be able to bind the book. By: Scrapbook.com (27-Jan-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Do I have to use only cinch glue strips   By: RacingSueWho (16-Jan-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
This question is about a related product.
    • Hello, the We R Makers Thermal Cinch machine is designed to work with its proprietary glue strips, which are specifically formulated to bond with the machine's thermal binding process. We have not tested other glue strips in this machine which may not provide optimal results. By: Scrapbook.com (22-Jan-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Do you have to use the We R Makes glue stripes with this machine only? Can I just use glue or score tape on card stock with this machine?   By: pamschmidt (04-Dec-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello, we do not recommend using glue or score tape. The glue stripes work with this machine because this cinch is thermal, and the heat from it melts the glue and, once it dries, binds the book. If you are using liquid glue or score tape, the machine is not necessary. By: Scrapbook.com (05-Dec-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • How many would the minimum amount of paper can you bind using this machine? It says maximum is 50.   By: whit.benter (12-Oct-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Although there is no minimum number of pages provided by the manufacturer, there will need to be enough to be held by the binder spine and glue. At least 10 would probably be best, but you could try it with fewer to see how it does. By: Scrapbook.com (15-Oct-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! What is the voltage on this? Can this go for 220v?   By: User (12-Oct-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello. This machine is designed for use in US and Canada. Although a voltage adapter will allow for the voltage to be changed for use in other countries, the frequency difference (60Hz for USA and 50Hz for New Zealand for example) can cause the machine to fail. Use of this machine with an adaptor is not recommended and will void any warranty. By: Scrapbook.com (15-Oct-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • There’s nothing on the box or the machine to indicate what voltage can be used with this machine. I live in New Zealand. Our voltage is 230v, the machine worked once but second time to use wouldn’t heat up. I was using an adapter. By: Weavernz (13-Oct-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hello! Three questions from me. Please verify previously answered question about book size: the largest size is 12 inches long by 1.4 inches THICK? Also, is there a mechanism of action that clamps together the spine of the book while its inside the machine? And finally, what is the heating plate made of: ceramic, stainless steel, or other metal? Thanks so much!   By: emgrahl (21-Aug-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hello! The max book size is 12" in length by 1.4" thick (50 sheets of copy paper or 25 sheets of cardstock). The tool uses heat to adhere the binding spines to the paper. The heating plate is made of stainless steel. By: Scrapbook.com (21-Aug-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
