These are actually three separate "towers" constructed out of foam core board scraps and hot glue. To be sure that the "shelves" were level and had enough space to accommodate the depth (or height or thickness) of the Distress ink pads, using large head straight pins, I pinned the bottom shelf in place. Then I put a Distress ink pad on top, and on top of that a scrap of the 1/4 inch foam board. On top of that, I placed the second shelf and pinned it into place. I then took the ink pad and spacer out, and placed them on top of the second shelf, and repeated until I got to the top. Once all of the shelves were pinned in place, I glued them at front and back with a dollop of hot glue on the underside of each shelf. Once the glue cooled, I removed the pins. It was very easy to measure the verticals, and check that they were the correct height before I began assembly. The towers are very light, and surprisingly sturdy!!
