Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 envelope unflavoured gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or flavouring of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
Microwave vinegar in a baby food jar for about 35-45 seconds (depends on the strength of your microwave).
Add gelatin, flavouring and sugar.
Stir to dissolve gelatin.
If the gelatin doesn't dissolve, put it into microwave again for 10 seconds at a time repeatedly until gelatin is dissolved and liquid.
Using a stiff bristle paint brush about 1/2" wide, "paint" the glue in a very thin layer on the flap of your envelope. When completely dry, moisten as usual and press flap closed to seal envelope.
Makes enough for about 25 quarter-fold envelopes.
**Note: This glue is a food product. Keep unused glue in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. To re-use the glue, heat in the microwave on low in 15 second intervals until liquid again.
