This method involves stamping white pigment ink onto dark-colored cardstock and dusting with chalks to give the appearance of writing on a chalkboard with colored chalk.

  • Cardstock, preferably black for a true "chalkboard" appearance
  • White pigment ink
  • Chalk
  • Applicator, white cotton balls with alligator clip or Q-tips
  • Swiffer cloth (dry) or paper towel or Kleenex

Step One

Ink the chosen stamp with the white pigment ink. Don't wait for it to dry.

Stamp the image onto dark cardstock.

Step Two

Choose an applicator and load it up with chalk.

Push the chalk onto the wet ink. Continue choosing colors until the image is covered in chalk.

Step Three

Blow the excess chalk off the cardstock, then continue to remove chalk with a dry Swiffer-like towel.

Step Four

Create a card with your image or use it on a scrapbook page.

This is an extremely fun and easy technique for creating one-of-a-kind embellishments!
