This month, I created a very simple sketch with lots of room for journaling. My original inspiration was to use just one large photo, and utilize the rest of the space to tell a story.
I asked a few of my scrapbooking friends to create something based on the sketch, and here is what they came up with.
I created the layout, “Exploring with Pop.” I did not have enough journaling to take up the entire space, so I used a smaller journaling block. This layout came together rather quickly, using such a basic design.
Cathy Davis created the layout, “Caitlyn’s Prom.” She followed the sketch exactly. I really love how she used soft colors on her page, which complement her photos.
In “Gooey Girl,” Nancy Trauger also followed the sketch almost exactly. Instead of using an embellishment in the lower left-hand corner, she included a circular photo, which aids in telling the story of her daughter making magic goo. I love how she matched her papers to her pictures.
Let's see how you interpret this month's sketch. Post it in the Scrapjazz.com gallery!
