PR: Jolees Jewels Crystallized Swarovski Elements Collection
Article Courtesy Scrapjazz.com: by Jeanette Giancaspro
These crystals come in a number of sizes, colors, and varieties. They are available in single colors and mixed packages, and the packages contain 15 or 30 pieces, depending upon the size of the beads. The crystals range in size from 4mm to 8mm, in varieties that include round, bicone, and flower shapes. These beads can be used to create jewelry, to embellish cards and scrapbook pages, and to enhance home-decor projects.
I love Swarovski crystals: their gorgeous, flawless color; their sparkle and shine; their perfectly-cut facets and light refraction. I've used them to create earrings, bracelets, necklaces, headbands, pins, and other jewelry and accessories. Some of my journals also have crystals dangling from their bindings. I haven't used them on my cards or scrapbook pages (yet!), but I'm certainly considering the possibilities.
These beads are easy to work with, whether you are stringing them, attaching them to other jewelry components, or weaving with them. Used by themselves or combined with other beads, Jolee's Jewels are strikingly gorgeous and quite stunning.
I would like to see EK Success offer these crystals in smaller sizes, such as 2mm and 3mm, as well as in larger packages. Many jewelry projects require smaller beads and larger quantities. Also, Swarovski crystals are available in many other colors that aren't represented in the Jolee's line.
If you like to "bling it up," though, the Jolee's Jewels collection certainly has a lot to offer. Whether you are a beginner, or you've had a lot of experience with beads, you're sure to find these crystals just what you need to add some sparkle and twinkle to your projects.
Tips and Techniques:
- Use storage containers to organize and separate your beads by color.
- Be very careful when using any tools, such as pliers, with your crystals. You don't want to crush or chip them.
- Use quality components in your jewelry projects, so that they will last for a long time.
- Purchase the best jewelry tools that you can afford. They will make working with your materials easier, and your results will be much more pleasing and professional-looking.
Project Ideas and Examples:
Here is a tennis bracelet with a matching pair of wire earrings that I made using Light Amethyst 4mm bicone crystals, 6mm Light Amethyst flower crystals, and 3mm Amethyst bicone crystals.
Here are some other projects that I've made with Jolee's Swarovski crystals combined with other beads and jewelry components.
