This is a lo of my best friend Bree for the DSG Monthly Challenge.
Journaling ~ Bree & I met in grade 3 when we were 8yrs old. From that time on, we were pretty much inseparable. We shared a passion for horses & animals, a similar sense of humour and a propensity for a little mischief. Our weekends were almost always spent horse riding & sleeping over at each others houses.. So much so, that I’m sure my parents thought that they had 2 daughters. My father used to take great delight in ribbing Bree about being a vegetarian and he loved to call out ‘Bree’ to see which one of us would answer.
Almost every memory that I have of growing up, includes her. Riding so far out into the bush that we couldn’t find our way back for hours, making up dances together, going to school socials & discos, sneaking out to go to a party when we were teenagers, and making grand plans to travel the world together.
I can still remember one of the worst days of my life. Bree came to me & told me that her family were moving to Tasmania, it was year 9 & I was devastated. Over the years we have grown apart somewhat, but we still email each other & keep up with each others lives. We have both taken very different paths. I began a family, Bree travelled all around the world. She has recently moved back to Melbourne after living in London for some time. We haven't seen each other for 5 years, but we are planning on catching up in the next few months and I’m looking forward to my girls getting to know their Aunty Bree......my best friend.
