You may be able to use it as a countertop display album. I used several 12x12 3-ring albums to hold my ScrapRack pages.

Now that I've started using it, I can see the one major advantage of the *real* scraprack is it's ability to expand (that, and being true 12x12 makes it a bit more stable). I see those days coming, soon, but was thrilled to get a start with this idea. Bonus for me: I know a friend who would love to have this when I no longer need it/have to upgrade...

My "scraprack" is actually a catalog holder!

I tried to get a scraprack but what I was sold wasn't what I ordered. However, for the $15 it took for return shipping, I was finally able to show my husband (the project builder) what I wanted to make. Keep in mind I had sketched it out for him, demonstrated how the hinges worked, and the like. We had even started shopping for parts! Imagine my surprise when he said, "Well, [expletive]! You can walk into any automotive parts store and see one of those on the counter! If you had told me what you were trying to make 9 months ago, you could have found one on ebay by now for $30!" Try, "If I had been listening to your design plans, I could've told you to look for a catalog holder on ebay for $30, Buddy!" Anyway, here is my $30 "scraprack" find that I ordered THAT NIGHT. It has 6 1" spines. I'm worried that everything in my binders may not fit. Perhaps I should have gone with the much more expensive, but wider one?
