Page 17. Sorry this is dark - the flash just ruined the images. Lots of journaling here:

January 2009: Happy New Year! This was such a busy month! We kept growing - and swelling, to the point that Mommy had to have a jeweler cut off her wedding rings. We got the results of our first glucose test. Dr. Büscher wanted to do more tests, but in the meantime, no more sweets.
We got our last ultrasound picture this month. You've already turned head-down in the womb, getting ready to come out even though we still have months to go! You're too big now to fit in one sonogram image.
Daddy and I met with K O'M, a German-Irish midwife whom Dr. Büscher recommended. She answered tons of questions for us and agreed to be our midwife - one thing we didn't know we needed, but in Germany it's very important - the midwife delivers the baby.
We went to a film premiere this month - Operation Valkyrie (Walküre) with Tom Cruise, who was here for the red-carpet gala opening. Since Daddy helped coordinate on some logistics with the movie, we were curious to see it. Not the best movie ever made, but we both learned some things about German resistance during World War II.
Best of all, our friends M and J came to visit us this month for a whole week! It was great to see them. We took them around Berlin and spent a day in Wittenberg with a tour guide - and learned more than we had on half a dozen earlier visits to that historic town.
