July Anything Goes Challenge - Daily Challenge 07/03/2008 (4 of 12) and July Bling Challenge

Description: I used pink cardstock for the background. It's inked along the edges with black. I matted the picture on yellow cardstock and stamped flourishes with bleach, then pink, then finally orange ink and highlighted them with a glitter pen. The side of the picture has pink ribbon laced and tied in a bow. The mat also has torn edges and inked in orange ink. There is a large pink gerbera daisy with sequins added to the tips of both layers. The paper behind the mat and the palm tree are patterned paper from a Colorbok pack and are mounted on black cardstock to create a shadow. The hula girl was stenciled on black cardstock with magenta acrylic paint and then outlined with metallic pink gel pen and a glitter pen. On the palm tree I also added some sequins to create a coconut. I used various solid cardstock papers and several other patterned papers from the Colorbok pack to stamp the flowers. The flowers have gems affixed to them. I made a gem flourish next to the hula girl to make it look like movement. The letters are mini grungeboard mixed shapes, painted in metallic pink/gold acrylic paint, inked with black and highlighted with glitter pen. I also affixed a pair of plastic glitter flip flops, beachball, sand bucket and shovel, sunscreen bottle and a duck floatie.
