The photo is of my son sitting in a 2000year old roman amphie theater in Turkey (we were on holiday there last summer).
The papers are from prima, kaiser and panduro. The key is from Tim Holtz and the title letter are QK. The hourglass and the arches are sketched by hand (by my boyfriend actually) and then cut out. I've inked all the edges with distress ink walnut stain and vintage photo.
I've written little roman numerals around the frame of the photo (that took quite a bit of time...)
The poem reads:
Behold a window into the past
Back to gladiatorial times you're cast
This place has stood the test of time
Enduring both neglect and grime
Its arches stand erect and proud
From the roman era`s temporal shroud
This is ancient engineering's crest
This spectacle fills me with zest
(once again written by my boyfriend)
TFL!!!
