Peggy, what a treasure this photo is! I love your use of the chicken wire as a title mat .. I may have to borrow that idea! Pat yourself on the back.. it's stunning!
very impressive memorable page you have created, and such a special foto there...luv your title and your adorable details thanks for sharing the story too
what a wonderful photo to have! And I love the way you've showcased it here...gorgeous distressing and I love the twisty greens in the flower spray. Those scrabble tiles are great;such eyecatching titlework...love this!
The three in the photo are my Uncle Jack, his Teddy, and my mother taken during the summer of 1918. I never knew my Uncle; he served under General Patton during World War II. He was killed by a sniper's bullet in April, 1945.
This page insisted on changing its mind for over a week now and while I was pretty frustrated at the time, I'm glad that I let it have its way… Most of the paper and embellishments are from this month's lushly gorgeous Bella Vola Kit from Swirlydoos. The Technique Add-On Kit this month included several pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard and lots of paints and inks and such to play with. Although this particular piece of chipboard was not included in the kit, it was ordered through Swirlydoos; Krissy takes special orders for Dusty Attic chippies from subscribers so that we can regularly add to our ever-growing collections!!! The Core'dinations paper was part of an add-on that Krissy offered last February. The butterflies and the faux Scrabble alphas were all supplied by our Swirly Sister, Lisa G (Star Sailor); the alphas came with a tutorial on making our own Scrabble tiles. All can be found in the Swirlydoos forum. Speaking of butterflies, this is my entry for Ang's monthly Swirlydoos Butterfly Challenge. TFL
