I love this page and I will be scraplifting :) I am doing a page for my son & his girlfriend tomorrow at a crop, and this LO will be perfect for what I have in mind. Thanks for sharing and tell your DH that I think he looks pretty good for 72 also :)
Your description brought tears to my eyes. We just had our very 1st anniversary this week and I hope I can still look at my husband at age 72 like you do! I have a good feeling I will. Beautiful LO!
I can relate. . .the only photos I have of my DH (other than our wedding day) are candid ones. . and none are very good. This is a TERRIFIC layout. . . I love Daisy D's and love what you did with it here, especially the way you used the plaid paper.
That pose gives him a "rustic masculinity" look - yes, he's looking good for 72 years young! Your LO looks great - love those hand cut hearts and flourishes. The colors coordinate well with your photo.
I agree....he looks really great for his age! I love the colors you chose for this, and how you journaled along the wave! What a wonderful tribute to Butch...and to your marriage!!!
Oh, I just love, love, love this! Love how you used the plaid in the flower and hearts! Love the inking! Love how you cut the papers! Just gorgeous and into my faves!
Oh man!!!! this is such a wonderful page Susan!!! I love the colour and pattern combination, I haven't even opened that paper pack yet, now I can't wait!! LOVE THIS!!
Wow Susan that is a great photo of Butch and you did a fabulous job with it. I love this set of papers - I love the Daisy plaids. The heart with the swirls around it si fantastic!
Oh Susan, that is so beautiful! Love your choice of colors, your embellies, that flower, your inking AND your journaling! Plus: You're right - He still looks interesting and good natured!
Well Susan you CAN tell that Husband of yours that he scrubbs up pretty good for his age ( Im sure he says that to get all the compliments hahahah)...Love thw way the Heart has the swirls its gorgeous...Straight into my Favs..Beautiful Inspiring LO
Oh I love that little poem. I might use that! AND, I think Butch is still handsome too - you tell him I really find him attractive wearing toe socks! :) Love the doodling here along with the inking - it adds a lot!
Awwwwww - isn't Butch the sweetest husband - he looks adorable in the photo. WTG in getting the "kodak" moment. Love how you are using the Daisy D papers. I love Chasing Butterflies. Another great one.
This is a photo of my DH, Butch. He hates to have his picture taken so I feel very fortunate when I finally get a good one! He says he always looks old and ugly...well, I personally think that for an almost 72 year old man...he's still very handsome! I used my Prima stamps for the first time to make the frame for the photo. All paper is Daisy D's Chasing Butterflies. The flowers are Daisy D. I inked them and stacked them with pop dots. All hearts are drawn and cut by hand...even the swirls around the big heart. The journaling across the bottom is handwritten and reads:
If tomorrow I had one more chance to begin...I'd love you....all over again.
