Beautiful colours in these pics Helen. You and Tony look so well and happy, and no wonder.....you look as though your having a ball. I would love to see all of the krathongs floating on the river, they would look awesome at night. Great lo Helen, and another BIG drool happening.

Loy krathong Festival

Here we are setting our Krathong (also spelled Kratong) into the river to give thanks to the water goddess for giving us this river, which in turn gives us life. An interesting part of the Kathong Festival...all of which centers around these krathongs. they are beautiful, made of banana leaves, flowers, candles and incense. An impressive sight when there are thousands floating by! The sign reads UFO Unidentified Floating Object, which a bunch of school girls thought we represented....much twittering and giggling going on here! A wonderful fun weekend! (And we have been asked...just what do you do with your time while travelling? Believe me, we are never bored !!!)
