I love the story behind the photo. The red accents just POP, Jessica :) When I looked at the LO a second time I noticed the green lacing for a frame...clever ~~
Hello Jess :) This is just precious Jessica. The photo and the lovely journaling make this lo extra special and beautiful...absolutely love this lo my friend :) Just love what you did in that little corner :)
You can see that a lot of love and forethought was put into creating this beautiful LO. Very cute pic - pretty little you with Grandpa. Great scrapbook memory.
What a wonderful and heartwarming page, Jessica! I absolutely love how you used these Webster's pages papers here - perfect!!! And your journaling is so heartfelt. Your layout is beautiful, in every way!
While reflecting on my maternal grandfather, who sadly passed away around the time I turned six years old, I was struck by the fact that many of the memories I have of him are ones in which we were outdoors together, usually in his front or backyard, enjoying the beautiful spring, summer or fall weather of the west coast of B.C. where he lived.
In looking through the few photos I have of the two of us together, this point was reinforced by the fact that almost all of those images show us outside!
As such I wanted to create a page that delved both into the subject of nature and gardens (as expressed through the Webster's Pages paper with its fruit and jam jars, as well as the Jillibean Soup paper peeking out of the upper left-hand corner which has a corn stalk motif on it), and that fact that as my grandfather's firstborn grandchild, I was helping to grow the next branch in our family tree.
~ Heartfelt thanks for checking out my page. Any questions about this LO, please don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a blissfully creative day! ~
