This is the title page for Caitlyn's Middle School/High School album.

Journaling Reads:
*2005-2006* This school memory album will start with Caitlyn’s 6th grade year. At Northwestern 6th grade isn’t officially considered Middle School. Every other school in our county does include the 6th grade in their Middle Schools so while some of Caitlyn’s friends at church are considered “MIDDLE SCHOOLERS,” she must endure another year of elementary school. Truthfully, I’m glad 6th grade is still in the elementary school. I just think there is such a difference in the maturity levels of 12 year olds as compared to 14 year olds. Children today want to do too much too soon and grow up way too fast so I feel it is in the best interests of the kids to keep the 6th graders in the elementary school.

I have a feeling the next 7 years will fly by and Caitlyn will be graduating before I know it. It seems like she just started preschool a couple of weeks ago and here she is, 12 years old! It saddens me to think that 2/3 of the time she’ll spend in our house is already gone. There’s so much I wish I’d done and so much I wish I hadn’t done. But I want this album to highlight Caitlyn’s accomplishments and joys. I want her to be able to look through it and remember that although the Middle School and High School years can be extremely difficult for a variety of reasons, they also held a lot of good memories.

--There is a tag behind the photo (not pictured) that pulls out and reveals more journaling:
Caitlyn, you hated your school picture this year and were horrified to find that I had used such a big one on the title page of this album. The truth is, it isn't a bad picture of you. Your hair just looks funny because no matter how much I encouraged you (then BEGGED you) to put those little pieces of hair up in your barrette, you refused. You insisted your hair looked good like this. When you brought the pictures home you told me you should have listened to me after all. That probably won't happen too often in the coming years!
