Lol...love the look and I don't have children, but I hope to be semi this way (the dice in the mouth scares me though...). I have met a woman that raised her kids in Grand Canyon (Mary Aiken ...there are books on her and her husband). My favorite comment from her was about how she didn't scold her children for climbing and instead fostered their naturally billy goat talents. She also would not carry them out past age three so if they could not hike out...no getting out of the Canyon for them. Loved that idea.
lol - love this. love confessions pages. i will have to check out the book! I did one once that was called confessions of a thirty-something mom. And, I lol, as i have no idea why i called it thirty *something* as I am proud of my age. It just sounded more dramatic, i think. anyway, i digress! This rocks. That paper is really cool. i love how you are totally casual in the pic - so perfect for the layout. lol (oh, note typo in the fourth line from the bottom--should be "you're" - great work as always!
oh my GOSH, girl! STRAIGHT to my favs with this one! this journaling is hysterical! now although i would be the hovering mom around the slide, i can't TELL you how many other areas of my way of mothering gets the "slacker mom" title! that title will be lifted! :)
No way are you a slacker...you're just letting them figure things out on their own...and it's so much less stressful than hovering!! I can totally relate to this...I love this LO!!
Phew! Ok, I admit I was an over-reacting paranoid parent with my first, by I learned quickly. By the time child #3 came along, I was sitting in that chair while my babies were tasting dirt and chewing on sticks!lol. I have 3 happy, healthy children. still.
I love this! so much. Maybe because it makes me feel justified. Some of those things could have been me exactly. And, for the record, I have NEVER thought of you as a slacker mom. Your kids are well behaved and very smart. That says more about your parenting than clean faces, and bikes towing wagons!
This is hysterical! I'm with Helen...I could lift this and substitute the photo. I need to add the tv watching or computer games just so I could get 30 minutes peace....the horror!!
It's Saturday morning and I have the biggest smile on my face....love the paper....ROFL over the journaling....that photo is simply priceless.....I should lift this and just substitute the photo. Brilliant! Straight to my faves (for when I need a good giggle)!
I have been going to do this for awhile, but when I saw this pic of me eating cupcake sitting back and yelling who know what, it could wait no longer. and I have to say that I am the first to nag my kids about cleaning up, and using manners, but I seem to be missing the worry about your child's safety gene, my poor husband has to make up the difference, thanks honey for being captain safety:)
The title is from a book by muffy mead-ferro, great if your looking for a quick entertaining read.
