The journaling is just so touching and honest...inspirational for sure. Love how you've made yourself the centre of the flower and put all the journalling on petals around it. Very innovative!
THIS ROCKS!!! I love it!! you've definitely touched me through your journaling and I live in New Zealand! =) And I think for you to sing and lead others in worship before the Lord of heaven and earth is one of the greatest things a person can do!!
love this.. I love all the "buts" what a great way to look at it all... but.. if you don't look at it that way.. you would never realize how blessed you really are! :O) very nice.. and you have great dimples! but .....I bet you already know that! :O)
What a wonderful lo. Love how it's set up, and your journaling is a good thing to record. I think we all could learn something from your honest journaling.
I don't know where to begin. This is so awesome. The design is so unique, the colors and beauty so special, the journaling so deep and uplifting. And the touch of bling is just right. It makes me think of something equally unique, beautiful, special, uplifting and sparkly.... YOU! :-)
Acceptance Challenge; Use Your Scraps Challenge; We Love Flowers with a Twist (alter the flowers); More Than One Challenge Challenge (LOVE that title!)
For the Use Your Scraps Challenge - everything here has been in my stash at least three months. (That's not a requirement...I'm just telling you how long it's been laying around.) :) For the We Love Flowers twist...I don't know if this is quite what was intended, but all of the petals HAVE been inked, and some have been written on. ;-) Oh! And bling was added to the "flower." :)
For the Acceptance Challenge...this is all about the way I thought my life was GOING to go, and what has happened instead, and how I can be content with my life the way it is. The journaling reads (starting with the top green petal):
I may never again weigh 120 or wear a size 10 BUT people still say I look younger than I really am.
I may never travel to a foreign country BUT I've already been to more than half the states in the US.
I may never live in a mansion BUT we live in our own home that keeps us dry & warm.
I may never win an Oscar or a Tony BUT I can touch hearts through drama at church.
I may never have a six-figure salary BUT I have a job that is flexible and that makes a difference in families' lives.
I will never have a houseful of my own kids BUT my daughter's friends often call me "Mom" and know they are welcome here.
I will never be a great singer BUT I can use my voice to help lead others in worship of our Lord.
I may not be an artist BUT I can express my artistic side through scrapbooking, counted x-stitch & crochet.
I may not have achieved many things I dreamed of doing BUT my life is pretty darn good.
I may never win a Nobel Peace Prize BUT I have touched & comforted people around the world through the internet.
I may not have taken my daughter to a dorm for her freshman year of college BUT I get to see my grandson grow in a way most grandmas don't.
I may never win a Pulitzer BUT I can write well enough to get my point across in an interesting way.
