Finally, a layout of my husband! He is a farm-bred country boy that repaired tractors for a living until hurting his back. When I came across this picture of him in a red shirt, I knew it'd work great with this paper. I began by trimming the checked paper and adhearing it to the red cardstock. I used some of the leftover paper to make the corners. Then I tried something new -- stitching. And I loved it! It really added to the country theme I wanted. Every stitch is hand-done. It took a while, but was worth it! For the title I printed letters from my computer and used them as a stencil to make the red letters. I put the red letters on black cardstock and cut them out. I used a premade blue frame for the picture. I made the picture and frame in to a pocket to hold a journaling tag. Finally I twisted some black wire in to a heart and stitched it in place. I really like this layout!!! Nice and simple, just like my husband likes things!
