This is just a re-do of a LO I did almost 2 years ago. When Miriam and Dani came out with Mahalo I knew I wanted to use it... and finally I got around to it! I did it this time as a looking back P.O.V because DH and I were sort of separated and he had to work so it was only me and my daughter. Now with Caliber I can't wait until he's almost the same age where we can go back all together!
Journaling: Brooklynn's first beach trip was anything but short on fun. I think she swam more that week in Florida than she had ever swam in her short little life. It was such an amazing experience as a mother to watch my daughter play in real sand and salt water for the first time. The real oceanic waves were such a thrill to her little imagination. Too many times she would be playing in the wet sand when a wave would come and topple her over. She would grab a big toddler size handful of sand and throw it aggressively at the ocean, all the while yelling “STOP IT!” I can’t even begin to describe the excitement she had everytime we told her we’d be going to the beach that day. I think Brooklynn may just take after her Grandmother - a beach bum at heart. I can’t wait until time and money allows us to spend a glorious week on the beach as a family of four. It is such innocent and carefree play that makes me thankful to have what I have...
