SHCG: OMG!!!! I soooooo love this layout! First of all, the picture is adorable. He needs a shirt with a pocket protector to complete the feel! :-) The retro feel of this layout with the stars and "diner" sign is just totally rocking! I love the paw print in the flowers. So perfect. The only thing that I want is a date. Tank is my idol! Tank for president!
There's Tank! I was wondering of you were going to join up for the furbaby challenge! ;) Click to allow public embedding please so I can link you to first post.
SHCG - Jesse, this rocks! Awesome retro vibe goin here! I love the neato pp layering, the fantastic abstract shape the title's on & the ultracool retro font! I must confess that even before I read the previous comments from Janet, Wendy & Brenda, I was thinking that the flower could be replaced with something else like a retro-star-type cut out shape. Also maybe a more retro looking flower, perhaps cut from paper. But this is superduper as is! I so dig the overall effect & how your love of Tank's goofiness shines forth in this. Terrific scrapping - I love this page!
SHCG: I adore the throwback simplicity to this lo. Your journaling is perfect and complementary to an equally perfect picture best summed up by your title. I like the brad as the flower center, but the only thing I'd suggest is ditch the flower and create a larger die-cut of the star shape in your pp, and stick the brad in that.
Great layout. I love the simplicity of it. I don't think it needed any further embellishment. Perfect the way it is. And I love the paw print brad in the center of the flower.
SHCG: I also love the retro feel of this page. The picture is very cute with his tongue sticking out! I agree with Janet that I would take away the flower completely. If you could find a star or cut one out that matches the patterned paper I think it would be perfect.
SHCG: This is so adorable!! Rotties are dorks! So is mine. I love the retro feel and the colors here. The journaling is hysterical. If I were to change anything, I think i would move the photo slightly to the right, to the end of the brown piece on top but its great as is also. Nice LO!
SHCG: Love it! You know what though? I don't think it needs that flower in the lower right corner. I would take it away completely or add an abstract star-like shape (to match the pp) in its place.
Another Tank LO! Didn't have any ideas in mind when I started this; just picked out a pp I've had for years and went from there. I know it's kinda sparse on embellies, but I didn't have much that went with the colors and the retro '50s theme. Journaling says: Tank is a clown in Rottweiler clothing; always doing something to make me laugh. Like the other night when we were watching a move and there were dogs barking in the background. He ran to the speakers, cocking his head every which way trying to figure out where the dogs were. I was nearly in tears I was laughing so hard. And this is just one example- every day he does something that shows off his silly personality! He is such a dork! But that's what makes him the lovable oaf that he is.
