And if you think you’ve had good corn, you haven’t until you have tasted Sweet Corn Charlies. This locally grown, roadside stand has become our haven for our family’s favorite summer food. Our mouths begin watering at the first signs of business and it is not long before we are making our weekly pilgrimages for this delectable treat. Drenched in butter and a little salt, that first bite of the season is pure joy. The sweetness is indescribable and the freshness is unparalleled . We eat it until the last of the crop has been dropped off at the stand. And then we wait. Wait for next year. And wait for that first taste of summer’s sweetness once again."
