awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww poor baby! To be knocked around by a piece of meat... that really is funny. AFTERWARDS! LOL! Maybe sending YOUR dh to nursing school wouldn't be a bad idea afterall! LOl!
oh my gosh, he looks SO CONTENT sitting there in that chair. I love this story, the way you told it, and the pictures make for a perfect page. This is really Great! :)
How cute is that sweatband (now that it's over, that is). Love the staples and your journaling is awesome! So glad you wrote it down before you forgot all the details!!! Great job!
I feel bad that I was laughing at your son's injury - but it was the way you told the story. I just had to laugh out loud! Too funny!! And a great layout to go along with it! Love the "Richard Simmons" head band that compliments the pacifier so well! :)
Awwww -- poor little guy! Glad he healed so quickly! Your journaling is great. Aren't you glad you got the photos to go with the story??! (My ds just slid down a steep street on his face last week. I was scared to death...but started snapping pictures later that evening when I realized he would be okay! LOL)
Poor little guy! I'm so sorry this happened to him. The top pic of him is so cute the way he is kind of lounging in the chair with his headband on. You told the story so well. Great job!!
Oh no! Poor baby! My ds already has two scars on his head from stitches. And I know how frightening it can be. The first time they were staples in his forehead...we would call him Frankenstein. And can you believe I didn't get pictures...wasn't a scrapper then. Love this layout and the journaling. I especially love all the tags. Super cute!
what a cute lo! and an awesome story to go with it! I love lo's like these. They tell a story that you would otherwise have forgotten the details! Great job!!!
I have been waiting to do these pics for a while. They aren't great pics, but a story that had to be told!
It all happened so fast. It was March 22, 2005. It was raining outside. Hannah was watching cartoons. We were preparing for dinner. You were playing with the fridge magnets. Your dad opened the freezer and a frozen steak fell out and split your head open. How unlikely! You hardly bled, so we weren’t too worried, but I took you over to a neighbors house, who was a pediatric nurse, and she took a look. When she swiped the blood away and I saw the gaping hole beneath, I simply headed to the car. We made the short drive to Primary Children’s quickly, and waited to be seen in the ER. I had to explain to a suspiciously large number of people that indeed you had been struck by frozen meat. At last it was determined that you would need a stitch or staple, and we headed to an exam room. You looked somewhat comedic with your Richard Simmons sweatband on your head to keep the numbing solution from being wiped away. I had to take pictures. You ended up with just one staple and the only tears shed {mine and yours} were when you were forced to hold your head still. You healed quickly and only one week later you were staple free again. You sure are one tough kid. It would be a mere two weeks until your next bloody head wound...but that’s another story.
I used: Mod paper lasting impressions paper (solid blue) bazzill cardstock colored staples mylar karen foster biggie brads scrapworks hug tough guy sticker (???? it was given to me) rub on "my" cut from a quote, provo craft rub ons offray ribbon
