For my grandmother's 95th birthday I decided to do an album of her long life and give it to her. I asked our family and friends for any contributions thinking I may get a few. Well, after about three hundred photos I stopped counting. Most of these are old - well, what is called heritage photos around the turn of the century (1890's - 1920's. But I do have photos representing a wide range of years. My problem is I am running out of ideas but I don't want any of these precious family photos to get lost so I am asking anyone who has worked with heritage layouts for ideas they are willing to share. I greatly appreciate any help I can get! I am very overwhelmed!
I am especially fascinated by the way you've added your flowers (folding and metal embellishment) along with the cut-out stem piece. Gorgeous! I think the message from her sister is a very nice touch also.
Beautiful! Love how you used the flourish on the flower! I have some of those flourishes and may have to try using them as flower stems! Gorgeous lo!!!!!
inspired by the most talented Robinzberdz's layout "Diine Simplicity" http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/124253/view/1454063/-1/0/1.html. This is for my MIL's suprise album for her 70th. This is her youngest sister's message to her. The tag reads: Thank you for being my great big sister. You kept me supplied with beautifully made dolls clothes and used to spoil me lots! I hated it when you went to college - I cried for days I missed yopu so much! Do you remember when I saved up all of my pocket money to buy you your favourite mint chocolates when you came home for the holidays?! Love you lots. X Mary"
