That IS a perfectly laid fire. You aren't going to believe it but I was going to use a photo just like this for MY Blue Ribbon, only built by a Campfire Girl. Small world indeed.

Blue Ribbon Mini
My 7 year old DS learned how to build a campfire in cub scouts. This is our campfire from this evening - he built it himself (of course my fiance lit it - not DS) I didn't know that a campfire consisted of 3 layers and in which order the layers were to be placed - but DS taught me. He deserves a blue ribbon for his well built campfire and being able to teach me something new :)
