I love this page. The vertical curves really give the page a nice look with the circular photos finishing the swirl. Iris is my favorite flower. Thanks for the comment on my lab lo.
This is spectacular! I too have iris rhizomes that I bought from an iris farm in Indiana. Every spring I have a gorgeous display of "Blue Suede Shoes" blooms along the east side of my house. They smell like grape kool aid. They are my favorite flower ever!!
Oh wow, superb unique-looking design!!! What a pretty page, I love the pictures (they're awesome), the colours, the papers, but it's really the design that catches my eye here.
Oh my goodness your Iris are lovely! You could not have found any more perfect pp for this LO. After reading your description at Skrappy Shutterbug's technique group, I can well understand why your LOs have such a finished, professional look. How do you add embossing powder to your stamping> Is that glue pen that fine?
absolutely gorgeous!!! i love the l/o and the colors and the pics!!! i love iris' . my grandmother used to grow them and now that i live in her old house i would love to start some up again but have such a hard time finding them. the ones i have planted never came up. :(
I used to love to visit Long's Gardens, an iris farm that had a wonderful variety of flowers. I have since moved away from the area, but while I was close by I added many tall bearded iris to my garden from this wonderful family owned business.
The hidden journaling reads: I first discovered Long's Gardens while working in Boulder. Everyone knew of the iris farm, it was located right next to one of the City's recreation centers. In the spring how could you miss noticing the fields of iris in bloom. It's quite a site. During my many visits it was not uncommon to see an artist sitting in a field painting the live blooms. The family business has been around since 1905 and they couldn't be nicer people. Each time I ordered iris rhizomes for my garden they always included "extras". One year I inquired about a particular tall bearded iris I knew they were trying to propagate. While they did not have any for sale, I did find that one of the "extra" iris rhizomes I received that year was the very tall bearded iris I had asked about. What a thoughtful gesture from a great bunch of people! Long's Gardens is truly a special place.
