Wow! Is this ever cute! You put a lot of work into it, but what fab results! I'm popping this one into my favorites for a definite case some day in the future. Great page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now this is fun, cute, clever, ... just awesome!!! I love this page, and again I am blown away by your eye for detail. I just love that fence, the grass, the flowers ... screaming to be lifted this one!! Fav for inspiration!
Oh Betty, this is so lovely! Have just spent such a long time looking at it in close detail. That fence, slightly rustic looking, is perfect with the date written on it. And those names on the pole! Oh, and the flowers - the whole thing is PERFECT!
OMG! This is just absolutely darling! I love the bitty flowers along the fence and the stitched smoke most of all, but everything about it just screams cute! Fave; inspired; and innovative!
This is the cutest layout I've seen in a long time. Very clever and precious. I just scrapped a similar photo of my family in the 60s..now I want to redo it! There are 5 of us too...but 3 boys and 2 girls (Scrapkaty is my sister). It's so much fun to have a sister who is also a scrapper. I'm going to show her this..she'll love it!
What a nice little cottage. I love all the details, you put so much into your work and it shows. Great job on the fence and the grass, everything is just so nice.
This came out tooooo cute!!! Love the house, the fence, the flowers, the grass stamp- all soooo adorable! Cute idea to do your names on the cloud and the flag!! The colors you used are great! Love the stitched smoke, too! Fantastic work! To my faves!
Betty I just LOVE this!!!! I love the house and fences and flowers - awesome job!!!!!!! and what a way to showcase a family photo! Outstanding!! Faves!!
OMG!! I LOVE this!!! That house is so adorable....love all the "plants" and grass....This is just gorgeous!!! Lots of work...but definitely worth it!! FAVE!
Wowza! This is stupendous! Love all the stitching and wonderful details! I always feel like I am standing right there (in 1966 for instance) whenever I look at your lo's. You totally bring out the feeling of that time period!
This photo was taken one Easter, in 1966 (we think). It was made in front of our house in Waycross, Ga. I'm the youngest one and that's Susan(Sgoetter) on the left in the flowered dress. My sister Karen is on the right and my brothers Randy and Mike are in the back with Mama and Daddy in the Middle.
The house is made from a template pattern that I got years ago. All of the pps were scraps. Everything is cut by hand and inked and doodled. The grass is a stamp. The flowers are attached by sewing a bead into the middle. The swirls coming out of the chimney are stitched by hand. Thanks so much for looking!!
