Long story, short. Kris and I were friends starting around 1991. We were very close, almost inseparable. In 1993, we parted ways on very VERY bad terms!! It's now 10 years later and she found me on the 'net and wrote to me (taking the chance that I'd rip her face off LOL). We talked things out - come to find out the whole thing was a misunderstanding! 10 years of silence over a misunderstanding (I could kick myself AND her for it LOL). We have picked up the friendship again and it's better than before, probably because we've both grown a lot and probably because we know things NOW that we didn't know then and can see what caused the whole misunderstanding (hindsight is 20/20, right?). Anyhoo .... I made this in dedication to her.

Truer words have never been spoken. After a 10 year silence, Kris and I have found our friendship again and I can’t begin to explain how much her presence in my life was missed. “I Miss You” and “I Love You” only scratches the surface. She is one who leaves an indelible impression when you meet her and tightly grips your heart after you get to know her. She’s smart, beautiful, funny and there is absolutely no one in the world like her. I’m a little sad that we missed so much of each other’s lives in those 10 years but am grateful that we have found one another again and that we are adult enough to allow the past to remain in the past. "

I rolled the cardstock up and tied it to look like blinds and then painted black and white acrylic paint along the front of it. Painted black and white acrylic paint also on the purple cardstock behind the journaling and whispered a little white acrylic paint on the spun sugar paper.

I LOVE the indian buckle at the bottom of the page! She emailed me these pix as recent pix of her, lamenting that she's gained weight, etc. That's why I used the flavia quote. Personally, I still think she's stunning!! Besides, REAL women have curves, right???
