I made these flowers for the Feb. "handmade embellishments" challenge. Flowers are definately out of my comfort zone but obviously fit for this LO! I first tore strips of tissue paper about 1/4 -1/2 inch wide. I then crinkled the strip in one direction. Then I inked the edges of the strips in white. Then I just tore petal by petal and kept gluing with glue stick until I had my flower shape. Very time consuming, but not as time consuming as all the stitching which is definately IN my comfort zone. I use to be a seamtress years ago and avid quilter. So I stitched all the vines and leaves and used french knots for the centers of my flowers. It was alot of fun to work on.
