I have no clue about the talk of the casing thing, but I have seen all of Invild's LO's and I think your's is an origingal. And a beautiful one at that!!
I personally think it is shameless to accuse someone of "casing" in public when you do not know the person, Nancy is on our design team and a very talented scrapper -- she does not need to "case" and should she scraplift someone, would always give credit where credit is due!!!
This is gorgeous! I went and checked out the other photo that they are accusing you of casing just to see for myself, and I dont think they are correct, I think there are alot of layouts out there that look alike in some ways because of the papers and how they are designed. There are a bunch of differences between yours and the other one. I think you did a beautiful job. Please don't let someone ruin it for you..Keep scrappin girl!
Beautiful page, Nancy. I think I would have used this paper pretty much the same way even if I hadn't seen yours or the other one's. Love how you softened up the photo. Makes it so serene.
For the record, I scrap with Nancy all the time. In person. This paper is heavily pre-embellished. She added a picture, and built up the bouquet with flowers and a bow. It's not that hard to "CASE" the original when the paper is so heavily pre-embellished. Knowing Nancy for years, she always gives credit when lifting someone else's work. For anyone reading this, it's not fair to the creator to make assumptions. It would be better to do so privately. I can assure those who are viewing this page, there was no intentional CASE here, just a coincidence. And really? Nancy has never been published, never wants to be published and isn't in it for money. She just grabbed her pretty prima paper + flowers to scrap her first picture of her niece. Is that not the point of scrapping?
I'm sorry but I just have to say that I think it's shameless to post an evident CASE as an original work. And to have the nerve to submit it to a challenge.... I'm speachless!! Check out the ORIGINAL:http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1439926
My new niece. For the Prima challenge, Flower challenge. New mulberry stitched papers and petite fleur vines. Thanks for Looking.~~~~Nancy
******UPDATE******* I am very sorry if some feel that this is a CASE of Ingvild Bolme's Dream. I had seen her LO as well as others back around CHA when they were promoting the new papers. All of the layouts done by the Prima team that I saw at that time prompted me to buy the line. I added flowers and vines where they were printed on the paper. This paper is heavily embellished to start with. I added more flowers to the already existing bouquet and tied it with a bow. Not terribly creative I admit, I seem to remember having carried many bouquets with bows in my bridesmaid years. The sleeping baby is my new niece, the picture was in black and white because it was easier to convert to black and white than to do all the color correction needed from taking the photo in a darkened hospital room.
