Here's another LO I did of my dear sweet nephew. It's for quite a few April challenges.
1.ABC
N-new technique. I usually make my own paper piecing, but this was the 1st time I used a pattern which was of the owl. I got it from Scrapbooks, etc. It was also the first time I used corrugated cardboard which I've been wanting to try. I even dyed my yarn around the border with alcohol distress ink which I've never done before. It was cream but looked really white against all the browns.
O-outdoors. Photo was taken last 4th of July when we were camping and the whole LO is outdoorsy with the owl, branches, and grass.
P-papers. I used 11 different pp's and cardstock on here.
2.monochromatic-I did brown and did the mini challenge of using chipboard (JOY) and photo of my nephew.
3.Anything but flowers-I did the twist and popped up the owl and 2 of the mushroom or whatever those things are on the bottom.
4.April technique-I sewed with 5 different shades of brown. The branches I designed and cut out, then wrapped with embroidery floss. I glued them on and then stitched over them in a lighter color.
