This is for CC's Positive Grannies Challenge....Scrap at least one photo of you and a grandchild, using flowers and the word JOY. I used a flowered PP, a flowered transparency, and punched flowers sent me by Grandma Sue. (Thanks, again, Sue!!!) Sorry the angle of this photo is wonky....I kept getting a glare from the transparency...so had to take the pic at an odd angle.
One of my best friends and heroes passed away about 3 years ago, and this is her first grandbaby. My friend's daughter has no family and her husband has very little (and what he has is quite dysfunctional) so I "borrowed" little Evan Cherie as my own. Her granny loved books and literature, so I make certain I send her lots of books. When I visited in March I had the opportunity to read to her for the first time....and what a bittersweet joy it was!!! I know her grandma was proudly looking over our shoulder.
