This was done for Estee's blog challenge - a day in my life. I wasn't going to do it, because I find it really hard to scrap about myself, but when I saw these pics that were taken one day at the park, a perfect title hit me and the rest all came together. The three squares at the top are "lift a flap" journalling. They tell the story of one day in my life. There is a lot of journalling, so feel free to skip it:

The alarm rings at 5:30 AM, lucky day if I actually sleep until then. Grap my coffee, Bible, journal & pen, spend time with God to start the day, ask Him for strength and to send a blessing my way! At 6:00, wake up the older kids, warning Dakota to be quiet and not wake Elias. At 6:15, Elias screams & Dakota brings him down, swearing he never made a sound. Check my email real quick and SB.com, while the kids eat their breakfast, before Shelby yells "MOM!" The music I hear "I called the big chair, come and do my hair, I need money for this shirt, money for that, don't forget money for the field trip and the book fair!" Finally it's 7, the kids caught the bus, now to take a shower, before Elias starts to fuss! Paul is soon home, gets the baby dressed. Kisses me once, then off to bed to get his rest. After packing a lunch and drinks for the day, off to work I go with the baby in tow. He loves thelittle fridge, can open it real good, looks around a bit, and then grabs some food. He chews, he spits, then I clean up the floor and tell him no more. Shoes on, shoes off, coat on, coat off...more food he cries...he just needs a nap! A nap he takes, a half hour I get, then he's back up, I need a net!! Finally at 3, it's time to go home, I pray daddy is up, I'm ready for a break!! A break...for me?? Dad does take Elias, on the 4-wheeler to mow. I check email once more, then back to work I go. Put the laundry away, switch out Elias' winter clothes, in a pile they go, later, I'll deal with those. Start supper to cooking, get the tea to brewing. Empty the dishwasher, refill it again, clean off the counter, the candy has to go! Supper is done, get dad and the boys, 10 minutes later, I clean it all up. Paul takes the baby outside again, as I tackle the clothes left thrown in a heap. I price it, fold it, pack it away, start to take it to storage until Paul yells "honey, I'll get it!" At 7 I sit on the couch to relax, spend time with the family and watch some T.V. Soon Paul goes to T.L.N. (take a little nap), and I pray that Elias decides to do the same. Between 8 & 9, he gives up the fight, put him to bed, the older two to follow. Pick up his toys, clean up any messes, finally to my office, I might get to scrap. At 9:45, my cell phone rings, that's my reminder to mkae sure Paul gets up for work. Go check & see, get his coffee cup ready. Back to my office I go, I might get to scrap yet! At 10, Paul kisses me goodnight & goodbye, it's finally quiet, I let out a sigh. I look at the clock, past eleven it is, I must go to bed...in just 6 more hours, it all begins again!
