This is my grandmother as I remember her best...kind of wringing her hands.....I think her life was quite hard, as she worried about the lack of money for most of it. I think it must be hard to have been well to do for many years, and then lose it all for several reasons, the Depression being just one. She was a worrier, but very kind and pleasant. She had very long hair for many years, which she braided and wrapped on top of her head...she held it there with these lovely tortoise shell hair pins....I loved her hair and she would let me brush it at night sometimes.....I was so proud. She did not come to visit often so I did not know her very well, but we wrote letters for many years....she was a great letter writer. Quite an art that seems to be lost in today's world. She also had a beautiful garden full of veggies and flowers...it was her greatest joy in life for many years.

The pps are from Tuesday Morning, the journaling is on the tag behind the photo...and all of the seed paks etc are from my vast stash of embellies which I use for things other than Scrapping. The little doiley and the pin are not hers, but from that era. I cut the roses from scraps of paper.
