I love how you have all the paper strips with airplanes flying off at different angles! That really makes the page a realistic representation of flying paper airplanes. Fun LO! Oh, and darling photo!!!
This layout started as a very graphic and well-planned layout but didn't feel right until I arranged the flying plane strips randomly in their section. They then helped show the erratic movement in our afternoon of flying paper airplanes.
I also loved using a variety of trimmed-down pieces of the patterned paper from this collection in the layouts of my Nana's Kids album. Using minimal pieces of from the Die Cuts With a View "Nana's Kids" versatile collection insured the layouts would be clean and simple. Because the pack is generous with paper (three sheets of each pattern) I'll be able to make at least 12 - 15 more layouts and some cards using small strips, bars and layers with solid cardstocks as the backgrounds.
The word "ZOOM" contains a "Z" and "M" from one of the alphabet pattened papers and two chipboard letter "o's" turned over to reveal the backside color.
This layout was constructed using principles of design found in my New To Scrapbooking e-Books: Easy Graphic-style and Color Blocked Layouts and Easy Border Layouts and Easy Bar-graph and Strip Layouts. If interested in more information see the books below.
